Dans une petite ville sinistrée par une crise économique et sociale, Bruno Lacroix, un jeune ex-banquier, stressé, fauché, néanmoins amoureux et des idées plein la tête, demande une intervention urgente au Dr. White. Ce jour-là, l'éminent dentiste de la place est pourtant surchargé avec plusieurs patients hétéroclites et autres visiteurs singuliers au sein de son cabinet dentaire.
